Drawings - Linear Landscapes
recently I have been working through a series of pieces that stem from my interest in perception vs. sensory. These works are based on my interest in the concept that Perception brings meaning to our sensations, and that perception produces an interpretation of the world, not a perfect representation of it. The idea that what is perceived and what is actual and that neither may ever be the same. These landscape drawings consist of both a realistic and linear understanding of my surroundings of there three dimensional space on a two dimensional surface. It is the movement from form to line, where object ends and space begins that for me begins to create a dialogue about the relationship between perceptions and reality.
